(Senior) AWS Cloud Consultant - Migration, Modernization & Sovereign Cloud

As a (Senior) AWS Cloud Consultant at tecRacer, you play a key role in guiding our customers on their cloud journey — from architecture to automation, from security to transformation. You work closely with customers, colleagues, and partners to deliver meaningful AWS-based solutions. You are not only technically skilled, but also a trusted advisor, a mentor to junior consultants, and someone who keeps the bigger picture in mind.

Tasks

• Lead complex AWS projects from concept to implementation — particularly migrations and digital transformation initiatives.

• Analyze customer needs, structure requirements, and develop pragmatic solution approaches.

• Design cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

• Implement and configure AWS services independently or as part of a team.

• Support the presales process, prepare proposals, and deliver customer workshops.

• Act as a mentor for junior consultants and empower customers through training and enablement.

• Explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Focus Area: Migration, Modernization & Sovereign Cloud

• Plan and guide cloud transformations of existing workloads, applications, or entire organizations into the AWS Cloud — from discovery to go-live.

• Use AWS migration tools such as AWS Migration Hub, Application Discovery Service, Landing Zone frameworks, and MAP methodologies (Migration Acceleration Program).

• Advise customers on modernization strategies: from re-hosting and re-platforming to containerization (ECS/EKS) and serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway).

• Design and implement multi-account setups and cloud foundation concepts (AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations).

• Advise customers on sovereign cloud, data residency, and data sovereignty requirements — specifically:

• Requirements from regulated industries (public sector, government, healthcare, finance)

• AWS European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) and sovereignty controls

• Integration of governance, compliance, and data protection requirements into architecture and migration designs

• Ensure that migration and modernization solutions are secure, performant, and cost-efficient in operations.

• At least 2 years of experience in cloud consulting, IT architecture, or transformation projects.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable STEM field.

• Solid knowledge of AWS services and cloud architectures.

• Experience in planning and executing migration or modernization projects (e.g., MAP, CAF, Discovery & Assessment).

• Experience in at least one of the following areas is an advantage: containerization (ECS/EKS), serverless, or application refactoring.

• Knowledge of sovereign cloud / data protection / regulatory requirements in Europe is a plus.

• AWS Professional or Specialty certifications are desirable (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, Migration Specialty).

• Strong communication skills, customer focus, and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
