(Senior) AWS Cloud Consultant - Cloud Strategy, Business Advisory & Project Leadership

As a (Senior) AWS Cloud Consultant at tecRacer, you play a key role in guiding our customers on their cloud journey - from architecture to automation, from security to transformation. You work closely with customers, colleagues, and partners to deliver impactful AWS-based solutions. You are not only technically skilled, but also a trusted advisor, a mentor to junior colleagues, and someone who keeps the bigger picture in mind.

Tasks

• Lead complex AWS projects from concept to implementation — especially migrations and digital transformations.

• Analyze customer needs, structure requirements, and develop pragmatic and actionable solutions.

• Design cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

• Implement and configure AWS services independently or as part of a team.

• Support the presales process, prepare proposals, and run customer workshops.

• Act as a mentor for junior consultants and empower customers through training and enablement.

• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Focus Area: Cloud Strategy, Business Advisory & Project Leadership

• Guide customers strategically through their entire cloud journey — from initial assessments and business case creation to roadmaps and execution.

• Leverage AWS programs and frameworks such as AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), and Well-Architected Reviews to enable data-driven decision making.

• Develop governance and operating models that enable organizations to run AWS successfully and sustainably.

• Advise customers on regulatory and compliance standards such as BAFIN, TISAX, DORA, NIS2, as well as data residency and sovereign cloud requirements (incl. AWS European Sovereign Cloud).

• Take ownership of project leadership: plan phases, manage risks and dependencies, coordinate delivery teams, and ensure successful outcomes.

• Drive presales activities: qualify leads, create proposals, develop transformation roadmaps, and facilitate executive workshops.

• Translate technical capabilities into tangible business value and communicate this to management and C-level stakeholders.

• Industry specialization / verticalization: Apply industry knowledge (e.g., Automotive, Finance, Public Sector, Healthcare, Manufacturing) to quickly understand customer requirements and align cloud strategies with business and regulatory frameworks.

• At least 2 years of experience in cloud consulting, IT strategy, project management, or transformation programs.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.

• Experience working with AWS programs or frameworks (e.g., MAP, CAF, Well-Architected Review) is a plus.

• Familiarity with compliance or regulatory frameworks (e.g., BAFIN, TISAX, DORA, NIS2, data sovereignty requirements) is an advantage.

• Experience in project or workstream leadership and stakeholder management.

• Beneficial: industry knowledge in one or more verticals (e.g., Financial Services, Automotive, Public Sector, Healthcare, Manufacturing).

• AWS Professional or specialty certifications are an advantage (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, PMP, Scrum Master).

• Strong communication skills, customer orientation, and confidence in workshops and presentations.

• Technical understanding and practical hands-on experience with AWS are desirable.
